I've already got a list of cool things to put on the website next year! After Christmas I will continue working on the first ever swimming club game... But I need ideas for some more swimming related games! Please tell me on the forum!

Guilford Spectrum Trip was a success!
Everyone who went to the Guilford Spectrum trip had a great time and there was bowling, ice skating and obviously swimming.

Everyone had great fun and I took several pictures of us bowling. View them. We all owe great thanks to Harry who organised the trip and took us all there with a very (un)reliable coach. Also I hope everyone has a great Christmas and looks out for surprises around the website!

Club Championships are now over!
The club championships are now over and they were a great success as several records were broken and lots of swimmers improved on there best times. Everyone that took part was given a certificate showing there times for each race and a sweet. If any swimmer came 1st, 2nd or 3rd in any race then they received a medal. The overall winner of each age group were given trophies. Lots of fantastic pictures were taken. Also during the 2nd gala all of the Jack Petchy award winners were given medals and the Jack Petchy coach award was given to harry who has run the club voluntary for 30 years. Well done to everyone that took part!

SAT 18th High Wycombe Open Meet Merton Fish!

11 Club members took part in various events. Well done to all the swimmers we got a great result with:

21 Medals, 9 Gold, 6 Silver and 6 Bronze!

All swimmers also managed to improve there personal best times. Swimmers had to try there best as the pool was 50m in stead of the usual 25m (A very long pool!) Well done everyone!

Lazerquest Was a success!

All of you who went to Lazerquest had a great time and we had an excellent turn out of around 30 swimmers. Everyone had fun and tried there hardest, I think the clubs Jack Petchy money was spent well as it meant that swimmers only had to pay 3.00 to come and play! If you missed out don't worry as there will be more events like this soon.

GO KARTING OUTING

On the 21st October Harry Green, the club coach , organised a trip to a Go Karting venue in Crawley. He drove some nineteen club members including a number of their parents to the venue himself in the clubs own coach, which has been painted recently with the clubs own livery.

The members were split into three teams and each team had two fifteen minute sessions on the track.

Suitable racing  overalls, gloves and helmets were all supplied by the company, and a safety lecture and video has to be watched before anyone was allowed onto the track.

The driving action was fast and furious which made for an exiting experience, both to participate and as a spectator.

Safety is taken very seriously, and marshalls kept watch at all times to stop the karts if someone is causing a hazard.

The evening was a great success, with everyone having  enjoyed themselves.

This is one of the many social activities organised by the club coach, outside of the swimming sessions. This is just one of the things  which makes the club fun to be in.
